Introduction

Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular and are here to stay. Some believe that they will eventually replace gasoline-powered cars altogether.

Whether you’re a fan of electricity or not, it’s undeniable that EVs have some serious advantages over other types of automobiles.

Not only are they economical, environmentally friendly, and fun to drive, but they’re also quiet and less maintenance intensive.

 Here are the electric vehicles that are being released in the U.S. between 2022 and 2025:

Acura Electric SUV – 2024

Acura, the luxury brand of Honda, will launch its first electric vehicle in 2024. The SUV will range from 250 to 300 miles on a full charge and can hit top speeds of 150 mph.

It’s unclear whether this Acura Electric SUV will be available to the general public or will only be sold as a corporate fleet vehicle.

Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion – 2022

The Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion is a fully electric SUV that will be available in 2022. It is expected to have a range of up to 600 miles, making it the first vehicle in the world with a carbon fiber body and self-driving capabilities.

The car was first unveiled at CES in Las Vegas, receiving rave reviews from attendees impressed by its futuristic design and state-of-the-art technology.

The vehicle will feature two electric motors capable of producing 1,100 hp each and has been described as “one of the most significant automobiles” of all time.”

Polestar 5 – 2024

The Polestar 5 is an all-electric SUV set to hit the market in 2024. It will have a 400-mile range and a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds, making it one of the leading production cars on the market.

This vehicle is set to be released just as Volvo begins selling its electric vehicles under its new Polestar brand name.

However, since this car’s release date has been pushed back from 2021 to 2024 and its price has not yet been determined, we may not see any Polestar EVs until 2025 or later.

Aston Martin Lagonda All-Terrain – 2023

The Aston Martin Lagonda All-Terrain is a new all-electric vehicle. It’s designed to be a crossover SUV, with seating for five and a range of 500 miles. The car is expected to be sold in 2022, starting at $145,000.

The engine produces 740 horsepower with 700 lb-ft of torque and has two motors at each axle. The 0–60 mph time is 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is 180 mph (300 km/h).

Chrysler Airflow – 2025

The 2025 Chrysler Airflow is a concept car that will be launched in 2025. It is a family vehicle that will be available in three variants – luxury, sport, and performance.

The Buick Electra – 2024

The Buick Electra will be a luxury crossover SUV built on an all-new platform.

The Buick Electra will have a six-passenger interior and a battery pack capable of driving up to 250 miles on one charge. According to GM, it can also recharge in just 20 minutes at a CCS quick charging station.

The first market where the Buick Electra will go on sale in the United States in 2024 will also be available in Europe starting around the same time frame.

BMW i7 – 2023

The BMW i7 is a high-performance electric vehicle developed in 2009. It may have a range of 500 miles and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with the help of an electric motor which produces 402 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.

The i7 is also capable of topping out at 155 mph, though it won’t go as fast as its gas-powered counterpart due to its weight being about 2,300 pounds heavier than the 2020 BMW M3.

Cadillac Celestiq – 2025

If you were impressed by the Cadillac Escala Concept, you’d be even more excited to hear that it will be getting a natural life counterpart in 2020.

Based on the new Escala and still featuring some design elements, the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV will receive an all-electric powertrain, making it a luxury SUV with up to 400 miles of range on a single charge.

Canoo Pickup Truck – 2024

The Canoo Pickup Truck concept is a battery electric pickup truck without an internal combustion engine. It’s built on a flexible chassis that can be adapted to different body styles, including a box truck and two-door SUV.

The company announces to launch of an electric pickup in 2024 using the same platform as its Canoo line of commercial vehicles, which includes the Canoo cargo van. The company intends to begin production soon, a small city car called Muddy that goes on sale this month in Europe (hopefully more quickly in America).

Chevrolet Silverado Electric – 2023

Chevy Silverado Electric will be the first all-electric vehicle from Chevrolet. The 2020 Chevy Silverado will be the first pickup truck to get an all-electric powertrain, and it was coming in 2020.

Chevy is working on a new electric truck called the Silverado Electric, which will have a range of 300 miles per charge and should hit dealerships in 2023.

Dodge eMuscle – 2024

The muscle is a full-size crossover SUV with room for seven passengers. It is propelled by a hydrogen fuel cell gives it all the power of an electric car while also offering the convenience and range of gasoline.

The eMuscle can drive 400 miles on a single hydrogen tank and has no emissions besides water vapor while on the road (hydrogen is produced from renewable sources like wind power). The vehicle will be available in 2020, built in Detroit.

Canoo

Canoo is a concept electric car. It’s a futuristic-looking four-door sedan designed for high-speed travel.

Canoo is a luxury car with all the bells and whistles you want, like leather seats, remote control doors, heated front seats, and a built-in massage chair!

Canoo is designed for high-speed travel and has zero emissions, so it won’t pollute the air around you or contribute to climate change on Earth (or any other planet).

Rivian R1S

It’s a pickup truck with a range of 400 miles. It has four doors and will cost $69,000 when it’s released in 2022.

  • Rivian R1S

The Rivian R1S is a crossover SUV that will also have 400 miles of range and cost $70,000 when released in 2022.

Faraday Future FF 91

The FF 91 is a Tesla competitor, with an electric SUV offering 400 miles of range and 0-60 in 2.39 seconds. Only 2,000 will be produced, which means they’ll be pretty expensive—starting at $300,000.

Lucid Air

The Lucid Air will be available in 2022 and boasts a 400-mile range, 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, and a high speed of 220 mph. The base price is $60,000.

Conclusion

It’s great to see the number of electric vehicles on the road increase. The technology seems to be here to stay, and we can only hope that more automakers will jump on board with this trend.

There are so many incredible new models coming out in 2022-2025 that it’s hard to keep track—and even harder not to get excited about all the potential eco-friendly options available now.
